ASUS launches ZenFone Max in India at Rs. 9,999 with 5000 mAH battery

After having seen immense success with the ZenFone series, ASUS today launched the much awaitedZenFone Max in India. Best suited for people who demand a long-lasting battery life like businessmen and younger generation of users, the ZenFone Max comes with a powerful 5000 mAH battery and brings power, luxury and convenience in a unique technology combo. The pre-bookings for ZenFone Max will open at 12 pm today on Amazon.in and Flipkart.com. The phone will also be sold at ASUS Exclusive Stores and with other retailers from the second fortnight of January.

ZenFone Max’s powerful battery requires fewer charging cycles making it last longer and more efficient. The lithium-polymer battery, when fully charged, offers ultimate ease of usability and peace of mind to users by providing 37.6 hours of 3G talk time or 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing or 72.9 hours of music playback or 22.6 hours of video playback. The 5.2 mm thin body of the ZenFone Max also packs in a 13MP rear and 5MP front PixelMaster camera and f/2.0-aperture lens with ultra-fast laser auto-focus that ensures crystal clear and stunning images. The phone employs industry-leading Low Light mode to capture up to 400% brighter photos at night, or in low-light conditions, without the need for a flash.

Commenting on the launch and pre-booking, Peter Chang, Region Head – South Asia & Country Manager for ASUS India said, “Timed perfectly with the new year, ZenFone Max takes our vision of providing luxury at an affordable price further. It combines a powerful battery with an innovative camera making it the perfect utility product for users who demand performance at all times. We are sure the phone will be appreciated by our patrons and take us a step closer to repeating the success we saw last year.

ZenFone Max combines durability with a stunning display and incorporates the exclusive ASUS TruVivid technology for the best clarity, brightness and touch responsiveness. It uses the latest 4G LTE technology for high mobile data speeds. A new UI design ensures seamless performance. The phone comes with a Qualcomm 8916 (Snapdragon 410) quad-core processor with a 2GB RAM and a 16GB internal memory with an optional expandable memory of 64GB.
