ASUS rolls out the Android Marshmallow 6.0 upgrade for its Zenfone smartphone range

ASUS is finally rolling out Android Marshmallow 6.0 update for all it’s 2015 ASUS Zenfone Smartphone range. ASUS today announced the roll out of the much awaited Android Marshmallow 6.0 upgrade for its smartphone range. The ASUS fans were eagerly waiting for the update and now it’s officially announced by ASUS in their official forum and also a press released for the same.

The following ASUS smartphone models will receive the Android M (6.0) upgrade in March of 2016:

  • ZenFone 2 (ZE550ML, ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Deluxe (ZE551ML)
  • ZenFone 2 Laser ( ZE500KL, ZE550KL, ZE601KL)
  • ZenFone Selfie (ZD551KL)
  • ZenFone Max (ZC550KL)
  • ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML)

Other products will receive the upgrade April 2016 onwards

What to expect when the Android M update is installed on an ASUS smartphone:

Google Messenger, Calendar, and Gmail apps will automatically be included with the Android M update. These apps will replace three ZenUI apps—ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail and ASUS Calendar—as the default apps in the Android M version of ZenUI if you restore to factory settings after the update.*

Please note: If you restore to factory settings after the upgrade, ASUS Messenger, ASUS Mail and ASUS Calendar can be downloaded from Google Play.
