Beer Week Enthralls The NCR with the Gurugram’s Finest

Freshly brewed beer and music! The perfect combination to beat the summer heat!  If you were going for a bender last week, The Beer Week powered by Zomato, was the way of doing it right! Scheduled from 11th June to the 18th June 2016, Beer Week celebrated the fine culture of craft beer which was a weeklong series fuelled with events that took place in Gurugram breweries and united thousands of craft beer enthusiasts & food lovers for a unique tippling experience.

The carnival touched over 20+ Breweries/bars across the city with a variety of tasting sessions, beer crawls and master classes in the art of pouring the perfect beer concoctions throughout the week with a clear focus on showcasing quality craft beer and educated the beerenthusiasts.

Gurugram, last week saw the celebration of the first ever Beer Week in India. The week‘s inception was kicked off at The Brewhouse, Fortune Select Excalibur, Sohna Road on 11th June, followed by Three Beer Crawls that brought together vibrant crowds from near and far to party through Gurugram’s breweries with a dedicated team of fun hosts and each guest was provided with tasting portion of all craftbeer, one complimentary craft beer mug with snacks. The crawlers where shuttled by Ola Shuttle that made them have a walk down memory lane of their school days. The master classes conducted by our celebrity brew master Ishan Grover, Home Brewer Thean Leonard Kruger & Beer Evangelist John Eapen were specific to different types of beer such as barley, wheat, corn, rice and rye.

After 2 successful editions of Cocktail Week in Delhi and Mumbai, AMM Hospitality embraced the synergy by bringing together some of Gurugram’s finest food and craft beer pairings, partnered by India Bartender’s Guild, My Sprinterz, What’s Hot, Elixir Coterie, Counted One, Insider.in, Dilsefoodie, Thirsty Monk, D for Delhi, Ola Prime, Goyano, Suburb Magazine, Exo Drinks, The Epic Pick, Fortune Select Excalibur and RJ Brewing.

Beer Week participating bars included Molecule, Hops & Brew, The Brewhouse, Lagom Kitchen & Brewery, Manhattan, Vapour to name a few.

Through the week, guest experienced an extraordinary series of experiences from:

• Visit to over 24 participating breweries/bars, showcasing their craft/draught beers at 1+1 for 8 days
• 3 Major Beer Crawls with over 120+ pub hoppers participating across Golf Course Road, Cyber hub, Sector 29  and Sohna Road.
• Beer Master class & Brewery Tour by Industry Experts at 7 Degree Brauhaus
• 1 unique ‘The Most Innovative Beermaster Competition’ held at Molecule saw participation from 18 bartenders from across Delhi NCR.

Beer Week is proud to announce The Best Craft Beer Awards for Gurugram.The awards were judged based on authenticity (being true to style) and Flavor.  The following category wise winner were

• Best Hefe/ Wit – 7 Degree Bauhaus
• Best Dark – Porter/ Stout – Vapour Bar & Exchange
• Best IPA – Quaff
