BharatPe Founder Ashneer Grover says the viral audio clip is Fake

In a recent development in the viral audio clip of bharatpe founder Ashneer Grover now has new twist, Ashneer grover posted on twitter and says that the audio clip is fake. The BharatPe founder stated that “Folks. Chill ! It’s a FAKE audio by some scamster trying to extort funds (US$ 240K in bitcoins). I refused to buckle. I’ve got more character. And Internet has got enough scamsters :)”

A twitter user bong babu shared a sound clip uploaded on sound cloud with caption “how rich founders treat poor bank employees”. The issue is that Ashneer grover is speaking to a Kotak bank employee using abusive language and threatening to kill him for not getting allotment in Nykaa’s IPO.

After this sound clip went viral on social media the Founder and MD of BharatPe Ashneer Grover post and clarified this on twitter stating it is a fake sound clip and trying to extort funds $240,000 in Bitcoins through this clip.

Major Update in Ashneer Grover and Kotak bank leaked audio over Nykaa IPO case:-

In a major update on this case Bharatpe founder ashneer grover subsequently deleted the tweet of claiming fake audio and the audio has also been deleted from soundcloud. Now, Kotak officially acknowledged the legal notice received and objected the language used by him. See the below media note from kotak bank

“This is with reference to media queries regarding the legal notice dated October 30, 2021, sent on behalf of Mr. Ashneer Grover & Mrs. Madhuri Grover, addressed to Kotak Mahindra Bank. This notice was received by us and was replied to appropriately at the time, including placing on record our objections to inappropriate language used by Mr. Grover. Appropriate legal action is being pursued. We would like to confirm that there is no breach or violation by the Kotak Group in any manner whatsoever.”
