CBSE Result 2016: Merit List & List of Toppers 2016

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared results for Class XII this year and again this year also from 4 consecutive year the topper of CBSE Class 12th is from Delhi. The Delhi girl Sukriti Gupta from Montfort School in Ashok Vihar, the topper, scored 497 marks out of 500. Sukriti Gupta has scored 99.04% in the exam. The CBSE Merit List & Complete List of toppers 2016 is given below. This year a total of 10,67,900 candidates registered for the CBSE Class 12th exam.

At second position is Palak Goel from Kurukshetra, Haryana with 496 marks and 99.02%. In the differently-abled category, Mudita Jagota, a student from Faridabad is the topper. According to CBSE officials, the pass percentage this year has increased by a marginal 1.05 per cent as compared to last year’s 82 per cent. In terms of pass percentage, girls (88.58) performed better than boys (78.85) this time.

1. Sukriti Gupta – Montfort School, School Vihar. Delhi
2. Palak Goyal – Tagore Public School, Haryana
3. Somya Uppal – St. Theresa’s Convent School, Karnal, Haryana
4. Ajish Sekar – P S B B Sr. Sec. School, KK Nagar, Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Thiruvananthapuram region has the highest overall pass percentage at 97.61 percent, followed by Chennai.

Apart from the CBSE website, students can also check their results on the mobile app Digiresults.

For the first time this year, the board has also made mark sheets available online on a Digilocker platform, the password for which will be provided to the students by the Board.
