The Drug Controller General of India (DGCI) finally puts a temporary ban on Online Sale of medicine in India. from a very long time there was controversies of Online sale of medicine, drugs in India. So, Finally DGCI temporarily bans the online sale of medicines. The Drug Controller General of India (DGCI) also told the State Drug Controllers to put a ban on online sale of medicine if anybody found selling drugs, medicines online will be heavily fined and a serious action will be taken against them.
We have seen many e-commerce website and other online store where online sale of medicine, drugs were going on full scale and they also use to deliver the medicine to the user but this has been found that some of them are selling expired and fake medicines which is harmful for human being and that’s why a temporary ban is placed in Public Interest.
In Past few Months we have seen that many offline medical Store, medical shopkeepers was on strike and raised their voiced against the online sale of medicines as it affected their lives and business. As we all have seen how e-commerce is growing day by day and that’s why the medical stores in cities, town saw a downgrade in their sale & business.
Well, it will be interesting to see How government will now react to it. weather they will put this ban permanently or come up with new rules and law. Let’s see !
