Good News: Now, Get Passport first and Police Verification later

The External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj Tweeted on 25th January 2016 with a good news for the issue of fresh passports in India. As a republic day gift Shushma Swaraj tweeted that now the first timers who are applying for fresh passport now, they can get their Passport First and then the Police verification will be done later. Shushma Swaraj made this announcement on twitter that now If you submit application with copies of Aadhar, Voter ID and PAN Card with an affidavit of no criminal case, we will issue the Passport. The Police verification will be done later. You can choose any appointment date from the earliest five available dates for Passport related services.

This is a good news for all first timers who still don’t have passport and want to apply for a fresh passport in coming days. This is a right time to apply as you can choose any appointment date from the earliest five available dates for Passport related services. Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) launched an app called “mPassport Police App” for speedy submission of Police Verification (PV) report. The “mPassport Police App” is available for all Police users.

 

How to Apply for Fresh Indian Passport Online?

• Visit passportindia.gov.in website
• Click on New User, Registration
• fill the required form with all your correct details
• Pay the Passport Fee i.e Normal : Rs 1500 and Tatkal: Rs 5000
• fix an Appointment Online for Document verification
• Done

Documents Required:

• Photocopy of Aadhar Card
• Photocopy of Voter ID
• Photocopy of PAN Card
• Affidavit of No Criminal Case
• Note: Also Carry Orginals
