nda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially entered the electric vehicle (EV) segment with the unveiling of two groundbreaking models, ACTIVA e: and QC1, marking a significant milestone in India’s sustainable mobility journey. These first-ever electric scooters from HMSI were revealed at an event in Bengaluru, with bookings opening on January 1, 2025, and deliveries starting from February 2025.
HMSI’s foray into the EV market aligns with Honda’s global ‘Triple Action to ZERO’ initiative, which targets carbon neutrality by 2050. Speaking at the launch, Mr. Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director & CEO of HMSI, emphasized, “With ACTIVA e: and QC1, we are committed to building one of India’s best EV ecosystems, supporting cleaner, safer, and sustainable mobility.”

Both models come with a 3-year/50,000 km warranty, free roadside assistance for the first year, and three complimentary services. The EVs will be manufactured at Honda’s Narsapura plant in Karnataka, ensuring high-quality production standards.
The ACTIVA e: will initially be available in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, while the QC1 will roll out in select cities. With this launch, Honda aims to set new benchmarks in the Indian EV market, blending innovation with reliability for a greener future.
