JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Admit Card: Expected Date March 28 – Direct Download Link, Steps & What to Check

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is all set to release the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Admit Card very soon. Based on NTA’s pattern of releasing hall tickets 3 to 4 days before the exam, the admit card for candidates appearing on April 2, 4, and 5 is most likely to be out on March 28, 2026. Candidates appearing on April 6, 7, and 8 can expect their admit cards around April 1, 2026.

The city intimation slip for Session 2 was already released on March 21, and many students have already checked their allotted exam city and date. But remember – the city slip is not the admit card. You will need the actual admit card to enter the examination hall.

As soon as the link goes live, you can download it from the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in

How to Download JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Admit Card:-

Downloading the admit card is straightforward. Follow these steps once NTA makes the link active:

Step 1: Open the official NTA JEE Main website – jeemain.nta.nic.in

Step 2: On the homepage, look for the “JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Admit Card” link under the Latest Updates or Candidate Activity section.

Step 3: Click the link. A login page will open.

Step 4: Enter your Application Number and Password (or Date of Birth, if you do not remember your password).

Step 5: Click Submit. Your admit card will appear on the screen.

Step 6: Download and save the PDF. Take at least 2 to 3 colour printouts. Keep them safe, you will need the admit card not just on exam day but also during counselling and admission.

Having trouble downloading? If the website is slow or the admit card is not loading, try switching to a desktop or laptop. You can also try a different browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge. NTA servers often get heavy traffic right after a release, so give it a few minutes and try again.

What Details Are Printed on the Admit Card

Once you download your JEE Main 2026 Session 2 admit card, verify all the details carefully before you head to the exam centre. The admit card contains:

  • Candidate’s name and date of birth
  • Roll number
  • Application number
  • Exam date and shift (Morning: 9 AM to 12 Noon / Afternoon: 3 PM to 6 PM)
  • Exam centre name and full address
  • Paper details (Paper 1, 2A, or 2B)
  • Category and sub-category
  • Photo and signature
  • Important exam day instructions

If you notice any discrepancy in the above details, contact NTA immediately at their official helpdesk.

Documents to Carry on Exam Day:-

Do not just print the admit card and think you are done. You will need a specific set of documents at the gate:

  1. Printed admit card (colour printout preferred; sign it and paste the passport-size photo as required)
  2. Valid photo ID proof – any one of: Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving Licence, or Voter ID
  3. Passport-size photograph – the same photo you uploaded in the application form

Some exam centres may also ask for a self-declaration form. Check the instructions printed on your admit card carefully.

About JEE Main 2026 Session 2

JEE Main is conducted by NTA twice every year – once in January (Session 1) and once in April (Session 2). It is the gateway to B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Planning programs at NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTIs). It also serves as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced, which is the doorway to the IITs.

Session 1 was held in January 2026, and results were declared in February. For Session 2, the exams are scheduled across multiple dates in April. The best of the two session scores is considered for ranking.

The top 2.5 lakh candidates who qualify JEE Main will be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced 2026, scheduled for May 17, 2026.
