Myntra takes U-Turn re-launched it’s Desktop Website

The Flipkart owned company Myntra The India’s largest online fashion portal is back with their Desktop Website today. Myntra the largest fashion e-commerce company dropped the app-only strategy and came back on desktop website today on 28th May 2016. The Myntra Desktop website was scheduled to be re-launch on 1st June 2016 but looks like Myntra was too excited to launch the myntra desktop website again and launched it before it’s official date 1st June 2016. Myntra was seriously losing some customers and now it’s back to desktop website today let’s see how much percent the sales goes up with the all new desktop website.

 

Today in the morning on 28th may 2016 Myntra sent an SMS to it’s registered customers with a message “Good News! Myntra desktop is back & better! Now Enjoy best of fashion from anywhere & everywhere! Visit www.myntra.com

in an statement to media Myntra said that a segment of customers, especially women customers, who have a marked preference for browsing and shopping on multiple platforms such as mobile, tablet and desktop. Myntra also said that opening its desktop website will increase sales by 15-20 per cent this fiscal and bring back the customers it had lost by switching to the app-only strategy.

We found that while a majority of the growth is driven by mobile, the volume of users on desktop hasn’t decreased. We’ve launched a number of new categories such as home furnishing and (fine) jewellery where customers want to see products on a larger screen,” said Ananth Narayanan, chief executive of Myntra, said.
