OnePlus 5T gets Android Oreo 8.0 update via OxygenOS 5.0.3 OTA stable version

OnePlus has officially rolled out Android Oreo 8.0 update to their new flagship OnePlus 5T, Many users were eagerly waiting for the oreo update on their oneplus 5t since the launch of this device, OnePlus 5T finally received Android Oreo 8.0 update via Oxygen OS 5.0.3 OTA stable version across the world. OnePlus 5T got update such as Picture-in-Picture mode, notification dots, and much more, as well as a new design for Quick Settings, general bug fixes, and Android security patch.

OnePlus 5T got the following below new added features and updates –

  • New OnePlus launcher v2.2
  • New Gallery v2.0
  • New Weather v1.9
  • New File Manager v1.7.6
  • New Design for Quick Settings
  • general bug fixes and improvements
  • Applied CPU security patch: CVE-2017-13218
  • Fixed system stability issues
  • Picture in picture mode
  • New Notification panel design

 

However, even after getting the update faster than any smartphone brand the oreo update in OnePlus 5T has too many bugs which need improvement in a further update, for example, the youtube and other apps are not supporting picture in picture, notification setting doesn’t show quick networks, camera improvements, face unlock is slower, no navigation gesture etc.

OnePlus seriously needs to get the feedback and work on these update very soon.
