OnePlus Nord 2 5G Explodes in Sling bag, woman in trauma

A new Oneplus Nord 2 5G smartphone explodes in a sling bag of woman and catches fire, The incident is from Bengaluru, India. A Twitter user Ankur Sharma tweeted that ‘today morning at 6AM IST his wife went out for cycling with her 5 days old OnePlus Nord 5G smartphone kept in her sling bag, All of a sudden phone blasted and smoke started coming out.

He further said in the tweet that due to this blast she met with an accident, She is trauma after this incident. However, the tweet is not available at the moment and has been deleted by the user Ankur Sharma. Please see below tweet snapshot. The OnePlus Nord 2 5G comes with MediaTek Helio 1200 processor and a 4500mAh battery which got exploded.

After the company responded to the user, he tweeted that “The whole intention of my post was to understand the reason why it happened, so that if there is any area of improvement that can be done to avoid further issues and OnePlus had already acknowledged this that they will work on it to find out the RCA and already started testing.” – Ankur Sharma @eranksh

The user who tweeted about this incident has deleted all the tweets after the company contacted him, As per the reports the OnePlus is currently investigating this matter and we will update you about any further information on this. OnePlus also tweeted to help the user.
