Prof. PK Mishra Removed as AKTU VC, Prof. AK Rai to Take Additional Charge

Prof. PK Mishra, Vice-Chancellor of Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, has been dismissed from his position following allegations of irregularities. An official order to remove him from the post was issued by the Raj Bhavan on Saturday night. As a result of the investigation, he has been temporarily transferred to Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University. In the meantime, Lucknow University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai, has been appointed to take charge of AKTU.

Prof. Mishra confirmed that he has been attached to Shakuntala Mishra University by the Raj Bhavan. On Monday, swift action was taken on reports of corruption at AKTU and an inquiry was ordered. Allahabad Governor, Anandiben Patel, has asked retired Allahabad High Court judge SN Agnihotri to conduct a thorough and impartial investigation into the matter and submit a report. The governor has also written a letter to the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar of the university, requesting their cooperation in the investigation.

As per the recent media reports and according to Hindustan Times the former Controller of Examinations at AKTU Anurag Tripathi, has made serious allegations in a complaint to the Raj Bhavan. He claims that the university allotted examination work to a new agency without conducting a proper tender process. Additionally, the agency that had been conducting the work for the past year was not paid by the university, leading to a halt in services on November 17th, 2022.

As y may already know that allegations of corruption being leveled against the former Vice Chancellor, Prof. Vinay Pathak who is facing corruption charges and FIR was lodged against him. SIT was investigating the case but later on the case was given o CBI but still no action is taken, and we don’t have any answers from the investigating agencies.

Many students on social media are saying that govt did not took any action on the previous corrupt vice chancellors but the one who is doing good work is removed. many students were also seen facing issues with their results, degree and carry over exams.
