Review – ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser | Beautifully designed | But Overpriced

ASUS Zenfone 3 laser was launched last year and it was one of the best all new series of ASUS Zenfone, We at Engineers Corner is here with the Zenfone 3 Laser review. The ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser has 4 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory with 3000 mah battery and 13 MP rear camera which costs Rs 16,999/- only.

Let’s find out how this new beast from ASUS is and have a look. Checkout the review below.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser Design & Display Review:

The zenfone 3 laser has beautiful design which is one of the best part of this smartphone. It has full metal body on the front side and on the back side as well with antenna strip. It comes with 5.5 inch Full HD screen and 1920 x 1080 resolution. It has adreno 505 GPU, Design and display wise the camera is just awesome it gives you a premium rich feel look.

while reviewing the device we found that the device slips from our hand during the review so it’s not an easy task to use it from one hand that too without any back cover. You get the volume keys and power button on the side panle while the fingerprint scanner is just below the camera.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser Performance Review:

Zenfone Laser has a great performance with Android 6.0 Marshmallow update and equipped with Qualcomm Octa Core Snapdragon 430 64-bit Processor, it has the Clock Speed of 1.4 GHz. It has the average performance like any mid-range smartphone and works well with enough 4GB RAM and 32GB ROM by using multiple applications at a time and if you are multitasking user.

The touch screen, fingerprint scanner works very well and quick. While the benchmark score was 45623 which was disappointing.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser Camera Review:

The camera of the ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser is not so brilliant but a decent camera in this range of smartphone. It comes with 13MP Primary Camera and 8MP Front camera, It has so many added features like f/2.0 Aperture, Back Light (HDR) Mode, Low Light Mode, Real Time Beautification Mode, Panorama Selfie Mode which is attractive for selfie users.

The Primary camera has many features to use while you are taking photo like Best White Balance and Natural Looking Colors, Blue Glass IR Filter, Dual-LED Real Tone Flash, Back Light (HDR) Mode, Low Light Mode, Manual Mode (for DSLR-like Camera Detail Settings), Real Time Beautification Mode, Super Resolution Mode (for Upto 4x Resolution Photos), Night Mode, Depth of Field Mode, Photo Effect Mode, Selfie Panorama, Selfie Mode, GIF Animation ModeSlow Motion Mode, Time Lapse Mode.

The auto focus of the camera was not that fast which asus actually promises and it happens only sometimes. it has a great interface which is very easy to use. The Camera take decent picture in both day and low light.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser UI (User Interface) Review:

The ASUS Zenfone 3 laser has a Android 6.0 version with new improved look of Zen UI 3.0, There are many gestures in Zen UI where you can do some tasks very quickly and it also comes with in built apps by asus which works well with the phone and gives it more added features. While it same as any Zenfone 3 series.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser Battery Review:

The Zenfone 3 laser is power packed with 3000mah non-removable battery which is quite good. it can last long all day with mixed usage while if you use internet, camera, games, videos most of the time then may be it’s time to charge it after 12 hours of usage. We used the device and found that battery is good for a mid-range smartphone and does a great job.

The Zenfone 3 laser usually takes 3 hours to charge fully, So from the battery point of view asus has always done a great job in terms of battery in Zenfone 3 series.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Laser Verdict:

We found that ASUS Zenfone 3 laser has a beautiful design which is slim and sleek with decent camera and and average battery, It has all the features what everyone is looking for nowadays but we found it overpriced Yes, at 16,999/- you will get much more options in this range in other brands.
