Review – ASUS Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) | Excellent Battery | Great Camera

ASUS recently launched it’s brand new Zenfone 3 Max with some amazing features, So we will be reviewing the Zenfone 3 Max. Last year ASUS launched it’s Zenfone Max with 5000mah battery in two variants. Now, ASUS came up with all new beautifully designed smartphone by expanding the Zenfone 3 series and introduced ASUS Zenfone 3 Max. ASUS Zenfone 3 max is available in two variants, 5.5 inch (ZC553KL) and 5.2 inch (ZC520TL), priced at INR 17,999 and INR 12,999 respectively. We at Engineers Corner got a review unit of Zenfone 3 Max (ZC553KL) and here is our complete review and experience.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Max fulfil all your daily needs with it’s extreme battery life of 4100 mah and with amazing features. Zenfone 3 Max now comes with the powerful, Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 64-bit octa-core processor. Provided with 3GB, the new specifications have made multi-tasking easier.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Max Design & Display Review:

The ASUS Zenfone 3 Max comes with a 5.5 inch (1920 x 1080) FHD display up to 178 Degree Viewing Angle. It also has full-screen lamination, ASUS TruVivid technology, Bluelight Filter for Eye Care which is very effective and works well. It has built in Speaker at the bottom side of the phone which is awesome and volume and power key at the side panel of the phone which works efficiently. The SIM Card tray is provided at the side panel of the smartphone in which you can insert your both SIM cards and external memory card.

The Premium crafted all aluminum alloy design with 2.5D contoured glassslim 2.25mm bezel and 73% screen-to-body ratio. ZenFone 3 Max is available in three colors Titanium Gray, Glacier Silver, Sand Gold which gives great look and feel.

The fingerprint sensor of Zenfone 3 Max is fast and responsive. The fingerprint sensor is located at the back of the smartphone, It is symmetrically designed to the camera to give you rich premium look. it depends on user either he/she prefers the sensor to be at the back or in front. The fingerprint sensor can also capture your picture and perform other tasks.

 

 

 

ASUS Zenfone 3 Max Performance Review:

Performance of any smartphone is an integral part of a device, While reviewing the Zenfone 3 Max, we found that the performance of this phone is average. While using this phone we also faced trouble while the phone was in standby mode, the device automatically gets switched off after some interval of times which was very frustrating, May be it was with our review unit only but it was negative part of the phone.

The Zenfone 3 Max is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 Octa-core 64-bit processor and a powerful GPU Adreno 505 which is enough for a mid-range smartphone

The Zenfone 3 Max did not get heat up even after a heavy usage, and it works flawlessly in multitasking mode. It gives a great performance with 3 GB RAM & 32 GB Internal Memory. It also supports expandable memory card up to 128 GB microSD card. on the antutu benchmark the score was 42536 which is average.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Max Camera Review:

Talking about the Camera, which is what every user is keen to know about, the rear camera is equipped with 16MP PixelMaster camera, f/2.0 aperture, five-prism lens and front camera with 8MP Pixel Master Camera, having f/2.2 aperture. The Camera works well with the laser technology like any zenfone smartphone, and dual color LED Flash. The camera works well in low light if you can do some manual settings. in the daylight the camera works fine, it has also good zoom in which you see clear picture.

The Zenfone 3 Max comes with a 0.03s Laser, Phase Detection and Beautification modes which makes the selfies even more bright and beautiful.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Max UI (User Interface) Review:

Coming to the User Interface of Zenfone 3 Max is much better and improved from it’s past smartphones like zenfone max, Zenfone Zoom etc. In Zenfone 3 Max you will get the taste of latest Android M 6.0 marshmallow with Zen UI 3.0 which gives premium enrich great experience. The new ASUS ZenUI 3.0 has over 1000+ software enhancements and some quick launch app gestures.

 

ASUS Zenfone 3 Max Battery Review:

This is one of the key feature of the Zenfone 3 Max which has a Powerful long lasting Li-Polymer 4100mah battery which will run your smartphone for 2 days for normal usage. ASUS Zenfone 3 Max comes with 4100mAh which also supports reverse charging and super saving mode.

After using this smartphone with Wifi, 2 SIM Cards,using apps, taking picture and doing all stuffs the battery seems to be working great and it lasted long for more than a day. The ASUS Zenfone 3 Max can even work as a Power Bank for your another smartphone and yes it works. You will also get an OTG cable inside the box to connect as a power bank and you must have at more than 20% battery in your phone to do reverse charging.

ASUS Zenfone 3 Max Verdict:

After completely reviewing the ASUS Zenfone 3 Max Smartphone and using after 2 weeks we found that this smartphone is excellent in terms of battery life with decent camera and other features. It also has a fast finger print sensor and average performance. It has premium look with metallic body, whereas there is no guarantee of Android N, the latest version update on this phone.

While the only negative thing is that we found it over priced because at 17,999 because now there aare other brands also who are giving much better spec in this range. but if you see any price cut in this phone you should go for it. if you are not that tech savvy and just want to click some pictures, play normal games, making calls and watch movies and need powerful battery life. So, Do you need good battery life and average performance with all ingridients on this phone ? Just go for it.
