The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education is expected to declare the TS Inter Result 2026 for both 1st year and 2nd year today, April 11, 2026. The result link will be activated at tgbie.cgg.gov.in after an official announcement through a press conference. Nearly 9.97 lakh students across the state are waiting for their marks memos today.

The Intermediate Public Examinations were held between late February and mid-March 2026. Evaluation of answer scripts began on March 4 and has since been completed. The board has also reportedly finished result processing, with CM Revanth Reddy directing officials to declare the results as soon as processing was done.

Last year, the TS Inter result was declared on April 22. This year the board is announcing it nearly two weeks earlier, which is a notable change in timeline.

Check subject-wise marks, total marks obtained, and the overall pass or fail status. Passing Criteria for TS Inter 2026

Understanding the passing criteria is important, especially for students who are on the borderline.

Criteria Minimum Required
Marks in each subject (Theory) 35% of theory marks
Marks in each subject (Practical) 35% of practical marks
Aggregate (1st + 2nd year combined) 350 out of 1,000

Theory and practical components must be cleared independently. Scoring well in theory alone is not enough if you fall short in the practical examination for a science subject.

Also note: the grace marks policy applies as per TGBIE norms. Students who fall marginally short in one subject may receive grace marks to help them pass.

No Toppers List This Year

Unlike many other state boards, the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education does not publish a toppers list. This has been the board’s official policy for several years now, specifically to avoid unhealthy competition among students and reduce exam-related pressure. So do not expect any rank holder or district topper announcement along with the results.

What to Do If You Did Not Pass

Students who did not clear one or two subjects have the option to appear for the Advanced Supplementary (AS) examinations. Based on last year’s schedule, the supplementary exams were held in May and the results were declared in June.

The board is expected to announce the supplementary exam schedule shortly after the main result declaration. Keep an eye on tgbie.cgg.gov.in for the official notification.

Students failing in more than two subjects will need to repeat the year and appear for the regular Intermediate examination in the next academic cycle.

What Comes Next After TS Inter Result 2026

For 1st year students who passed: You will move to 2nd year. Your 1st year marks will also count towards the final aggregate when the 2nd year results are declared next year.

For 2nd year students who passed: College admissions and competitive exam registrations begin soon. Engineering aspirants should focus on EAMCET and JEE Main results. Medical students should check NEET 2026 dates. Commerce and Arts students can apply for undergraduate degree programs at Telangana and Andhra Pradesh universities.

For students who need to appear in supplementary: Focus on clearing the backlog subjects in May. The supplementary results usually come within a month of the exam.
