UPTU Released Press Note Regarding leaked Paper of Even Semester Exam, May 2015

Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow  conducted Even Semester Exams in May 2015 and now the even semester exam are over but the UPTU University is again in Controversies. This time the University is questioned for leakage of Question Paper of Professional Communication & Physics Paper. The Question Paper was leaked before the exam date & went viral on Whatsapp. This is not the first time UPTU is under controversy, recently unchecked answer sheet of UPTU semester exam found in Scrap Store in Lucknow.

UPTU Released a press note in this regard about the leakage of the question Paper on 31st may 2015. UPTU said ”  The End Semester Examination for paper NAS 204 (professional communication) was scheduled on 31st may 2015 between 9.30am to 12.30pm. An email regarding the leakage of the paper NAS 204 (professional communication) was received at 4.16am through email to all officials of Examination Section and VC, UPTU having attachment of the leaked paper. This was the copy of same printed question paper, sent to Nodal Centers few days back for distribution to Examination centers and was supposed to be used for examination on 31st may 2015 between 9.30am to 12.30pm.
1. The Examination Section of the University acted very swiftly to the email and every nodal center was informed/communicated not to issue the printed question paper of NAS 204 to any observers/group leaders of examination centers from the nodal centers. They were also informed that the printed question paper (QP) already available with them has been now replaced with new set and each center will be provided with a new set of password protected question paper online.

2. Accordingly a new set of password protected question paper (NAS 204) was made available online to all the examination centers at precise time and the examination of NAS 204 was successfully conducted.

3. Meanwhile, special flying squad, deputed for the nodal centers, were immediately instructed to verify the status of printed question paper packets to ensure that all the packets were intact at nodal centers.

Agrawal, who inspected Lucknow Model Institute of Technology and Management, Lucknow (College Code 484) a nodal center in the presence of Observer/Group Member (Vinod Kumar Singh, a pharmacy facu!ty of KRS, Gonda (College Code 390) for Azad Institute o Engineering and Technology”

It is found that the UPTU university emails question papers to affiliated engineering colleges, & examination centers which they take a printout, get them photocopied in minutes before the start of exam and then distribute them among  students. Obviously if this is the process of conducting exams then leakage of question paper is not big deal & exam, result of UPTU is become a Joke Now.
