VBSPU BA, BSc, BCom Result 2026 – Ab Kab Aayega?

This is the one question most students are asking right now. The honest answer is that BA, BSc and BCom even semester results for 2026 have not been declared yet.

Looking at last year’s schedule, these results typically arrive around June to July, once the even semester exams are complete and answer sheets have gone through evaluation. With nearly 3.8 lakh students enrolled across the university and hundreds of affiliated colleges, the process takes time. The university cannot realistically declare everything at once.

Here is what is still pending as of now:

  • BA (All Semesters) – Even Session
  • BSc (All Semesters) – Even Session
  • BCom – Even Semester
  • MA and MSc – Even Semester (II and IV Sem)
  • BEd – Awaited
  • MBA and MCA – Awaited
  • BTech I and III Semester (Even Session) – Awaited

Keep an eye on vbspuresult.org.in and we will also update this page as soon as new results go live.

How to Check VBSPU Result 2026 – Step by Step

The process is fairly straightforward. Here is exactly what you need to do:

  1. Open the official result portal: vbspuresult.org.in
  2. Click on the Results section on the homepage.
  3. Select your session – Session 2025-26.
  4. Choose Odd Semester or Even Semester based on the exam you appeared for.
  5. Find your course in the list that appears.
  6. Enter your Roll Number and Date of Birth in the fields provided.
  7. Fill in the Captcha shown on screen.
  8. Click Submit and your result will load.
  9. Take a screenshot or save the page as a PDF for your records.

One thing to keep in mind. Right after results are declared, the server tends to get very slow because thousands of students are hitting it at the same time. Agar site load nahi ho rahi, just give it 15 to 20 minutes and try again. Avoid using a VPN as it can interfere with the captcha on these portals.

What Information Does Your VBSPU Result Show?

When you check your result, the provisional marksheet on screen will include all of the following:

  • Student’s full name
  • Roll Number and Enrollment Number
  • College name
  • Course and Semester
  • Father’s Name and Mother’s Name
  • Category
  • Subject-wise marks – Theory and Practical separately
  • Total marks obtained and maximum marks
  • Result status – Pass, Fail, or Back Paper
  • Division or Grade

This is a provisional marksheet. It works fine for most academic purposes, but for government job document verification or similar official processes, you will eventually need the original physical marksheet. That is issued through your college, usually a few weeks after the result is declared. For migration certificates or any original documentation, contact your college or the university directly.

Not Happy With Your Marks? Revaluation and Scrutiny Are Options

If your result does not look right to you, VBSPU gives you two ways to challenge it.

The first is Scrutiny. This is a recheck of whether all your answers were evaluated, whether the totaling is correct, and whether any marks were accidentally skipped. If the examiner made a clerical error, scrutiny will catch it.

The second option is Revaluation. Here your answer sheet actually goes back to a different examiner who evaluates it from scratch. If there was a genuine marking error the first time, your marks can change. Sometimes the difference is significant.

Both options have a limited window, usually 15 to 30 days after the result is declared. After that window closes, nothing can be done, so if you are planning to apply, do it as soon as the notification comes out. The fee is paid online through the official VBSPU portal.

What If You Failed in One or Two Subjects? Back Paper Explained

Failing in a subject or two does not mean you have to sit through the whole year again. VBSPU conducts supplementary exams, commonly called back paper exams, for students who did not clear a limited number of papers.

The form for these exams generally opens shortly after the main result is declared. If you clear the back paper, it gets recorded in your final marksheet. The division may reflect slightly differently compared to a regular pass, but you get to move forward without losing an entire academic year. That is a big deal.

Watch for the official notification on the university portal once your main result comes out.

A Quick Background on VBSPU

For students who are new to the university, here is a brief intro.

Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University is a public state university located in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. It was established on 2 October 1987 and is named after the late Veer Bahadur Singh, a former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. The university holds an A+ accreditation from NAAC, which is one of the higher grades awarded to state universities in UP.

Its jurisdiction covers five major districts of Purvanchal: Jaunpur, Azamgarh, Mau, Ghazipur and Ballia. With over 367 affiliated colleges and roughly 3.8 lakh students enrolled each session, it is genuinely one of the larger universities in the state. That scale is also why results come out course by course over several weeks rather than all at once.

Courses available include BA, BSc, BCom, BEd, BTech, BPharm, BA LLB, MBA, MCA, MA, MSc, MCom and several diploma programmes. Following the rollout of NEP 2020, the university has moved to a semester system across most courses.

Only Trust the Official Website – Ignore the Rest

There are plenty of websites out there that come up when you search for VBSPU result but do not actually have your data. They show a form, ask for your roll number, and then either show you old results or redirect you somewhere useless. You have probably already come across a few of these. Ab samajh gaye na ki hamne yeh section kyun add kiya.

Stick to only these two sources:

Do not enter your roll number or personal details on any third-party website or through WhatsApp group links. For genuine queries, the university can be reached at 6388688015.
