AKTU will Not Conduct Special Carry Over Exam – All you need to Know

AKTU / UPTU has finally decided not to conduct any Special Carry Over Exam (SCOP) from year 2015-16. We at Engineers Corner are here with all the latest updates on Special Carry over Exam from the past few months. Today, We have a bad news for all those students who were eagerly waiting for special carry over exam 2016. As, we have already reported that AKTU / UPTU may not conduct special carry over paper (SCOP) from this year because of so many reasons.

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow is affiliated to 800+ colleges in Uttar Pradesh and now they have strictly made a decision not to conduct any special carry over the exam in future which will be applicable from this year also. According to some leading newspapers like Hindustan, Amar Ujala, Navbharat Times and our online portal of AKTU News (engineerscorner.in) we came to know that AKTU has decided to kill the special carry over exam (SCOP) scheme from 2015-16 and this exam will not be conducted in future.

AKTU / UPTU has made this decision in favour of students and according to them due to CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) rule in this academic year 2016-17 many students are getting benefit of CBCS and that’s why we are discontinuing the special carry over exam. The university even don’t have any rule like special carry over exam but some close source of politicians, students use to conduct a special carry over exam for fail stuents which is not a legal and not in university ordinance rule.

AKTU also imposed 40 Marks grace rule along with th CBCS rule in which now students have to earn only 50% credits earlier it was 60%. Acording to Media Reports AKTU officials said that all Fail status students have to wait for thr regular carry over exam and should continue to study the same semester or as ex- students.

AKTU will Not Conduct Special Carry Over Exam :-

From past few days students are confused wheather university will conduct re-exam (SCOP) to clear their back papers to get promoted in next semester for FAIL/PCP status students, but now it is clear that university will not conduct any special carry over exam (SCOPE). But, AKTU hasn’t uploaded any circular regarding not to conduct special carry over exam on their official website aktu.ac.in due to which many students still waititng for the update and have a hope for the exam.

Some couple of days back a group of students tried to do strike in front of AKTU which was in result failed and they returned back with nothing but a bad news. also, some students trying to reach out politicians, ABVP, student union but nothing is working at all as university has already made it clear. AKTU also not officially announced any update on this issue on their website as few days back theu collected Fail students data through colleges and online but no notice is released regarding the same.

From past few years Special Carry Over Exam is being conducted for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th year students but not officially as students protested to conduct the exam to pass the semester but after CBCS, grace mark rule, UPTU became AKTU and new staff, VC is appointed it seems they have a very clear vision now. Well, Still we are waiting for the official circular to be uploaded to clear this as all students are still waiting for any notice, circular.
