Qatar Airways to cut 9,200 Jobs amid Covid-19 crisis

Qatar Airways will cut 20% Jobs due to coronavirus pandemic. In a recent interview with BBC the Qatar Airways CEO Akbar Al Baker said that “We will be cutting 20% workforce job from qatar airways and for me to let them go is really painful, but we have no other alternative.”

Qatar airways is one of the largest airlines in the world is reducing and cutting the jobs due to covid-19 crisis. The Qatar Airways Group have more than 46,000+ employees in which the company will cut 9200 workforce due to corona virus crisis.

The Airways Group CEO also further stated that “We don’t know when the crisis will end and when the travel industry will come back to normal may be after 4 years or 5 years , can’t say”. This redundant of job cut will also include cabin crew as well.

This is very unfortunate to see what travel and aviation industry is going through these days due to covid-19 pandemic and no one knows what and when it will be back to normal. Stay Strong !
