Following the success of Temple Connect’s International Temples Convention & Expo (ITCX) and collaborations with institutions like the University of Mumbai and Welingkar Institute, this diploma combines academic rigor with practical learning. The course includes:
Students will develop skills in administrative operations, community engagement, spiritual leadership, sustainability, technology integration, and inclusivity.
Shri Giresh Kulkarni, Founder of Temple Connect and ITCX, said, “This program marks a significant step in advancing temple management as a professional discipline. Temple Connect is committed to empowering students with the tools to innovate and bring sustainable transformation to temple ecosystems. We expect over 50% of students to secure internships through our extensive network, opening doors to rewarding career opportunities. Additionally, we plan to expand with future programs, including a six-month certificate, a one-year diploma, and a two-year MBA in Temple Management.”
Dr. Suresh Gosavi, Vice-Chancellor of SPPU, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating, “This course will empower the next generation of temple managers, not just in Maharashtra but across India. It reflects our commitment to preserving and enhancing India’s temple heritage.”
Eligible applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university, with a preference for those with experience or interest in temple administration. Each batch will admit 30 students, and scholarships will be provided by temples nationwide. Temple Connect has also launched an open scholarship fund to support students requiring financial assistance.
The program is curated by a distinguished committee led by Dr. Suresh Haware, former Chairman of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust. The committee includes eminent figures like Shri Giresh Kulkarni, MLC Shri Prasad Lad, Dr. Uday Salunkhe (Welingkar Institute), and former Vice-Chancellors of Mumbai and Pune Universities.
