Synology Named Switzerland’s Leading Data Storage Provider in 2024 IT-Markt Report

Synology has once again secured its position as the leading brand in data storage and management within the Swiss market, according to the IT-Markt-Report 2024. This prestigious report, published by IT-Markt, one of Switzerland’s top professional IT media outlets, highlights Synology’s continued dominance in the industry.

For the third consecutive year, Synology has been recognized as the top choice among Swiss businesses. The report’s findings are based on a comprehensive survey of over 13,000 of the largest companies in Switzerland, all of which operate with at least 10 physical or virtual servers or maintain more than 100 PC workstations. Remarkably, 19% of these respondents have integrated Synology NAS/SAN systems into their operations, solidifying Synology’s status as the largest vendor in the Swiss storage market.

The “IT-Markt-Report 2024,” conducted by Profondia, offers an in-depth look at the Swiss IT market from the perspective of professional users. The report gathers data on IT usage and operations across 13,651 of Switzerland’s largest companies. Notably, while Synology leads the storage market, the share of managed cloud storage users remains steady, with Microsoft holding a significant 26% market share. Additionally, the market shares of Nutanix, Pure Storage, and Huawei have been reported separately, each capturing 1% of the market.
