UPSEE – 2016 Second Round of Counseling (Special Counseling) Schedule released. UPSEE 2016 2nd round counselling is starting from 6th July 2016 to 12th July 2016. In this round, the vacant seats of the subcategory shall be merged into respective vertical categories. Thus, subcategories GL/AF/FF/PH seats will cease to exist from this round onward. However, main categories GEN/OBC/SC/ST shall remain into existence for the counseling process.
There will be the total of 5 round of counselling in UPSEE 2016 in which a special counseling is also a great advantage for students to acquire vacant seats reserved during the 1st round of counseling procedure. Fresh Registration of New Eligible Candidates (not participated in 1st Round) through website http://upsee.nic.in using Application Number and Password created at the time UPSEE-2016 online form submission
By Online Submission of Registration Fee using Debit Card / Credit Card / Internet Banking through login on the website upsee.nic.in
Counseling Fee – Rs 20,000 for GENERAL & OBC candidates, Rs 12,000 for SC/ST Candidates
Note: This fee shall be adjusted against Institute fee at the time of admission in the Allotted Institute of the candidate.
July 07 – July 08, 2016:-
Document Verification (Only newly registered candidates)
Venue: Any one of the Document Verification Centers List of Verification Centers are available at http://upsee.nic.in
Those Candidates who have registered first time in this round by submitting the specified fee and filled their choices through http://upsee.nic.in
Only following candidates shall be considered for allotment of seats in this round of counseling:
1. Those candidates who opted for “FLOAT” option in the 1st round.
2. Those candidates who have registered a fresh in this 2nd round of counseling
3. All those candidates who could not be allotted any seat in 1st Round and have not opted for “WITHDRAW” option in the 1st Round will be considered automatically for seat allotment in this round
Note: A candidate who is allotted a higher preference seat in this round, his/her previously allotted seat, if any, shall automatically stand cancelled. In case of those candidates who were allotted a seat in earlier round(s) and confirmed the allotted seats by choosing “FLOAT” option, if such candidates could not be allotted any new seat in this 2nd round, his/her confirmed seat in the earlier round will be retained.

Confirmation / Acceptance of allotted Seat: The Candidates, who are allotted a seat (i.e either new seat is allotted or allotment of earlier round is retained) are required to exercise one of the following options through website http://upsee.nic.in:
Note: If a candidate does not choose any of the above options during the specified period, he/she will be automatically treated as WITHDRAWN from ALL the remaining rounds of counseling. The seat allotted to such candidates will be cancelled and shall be treated vacant. The registration fee of such candidates, after deduction of administrative charges with a rate of Rs 2000 per round of counseling in which the candidate has participated, shall be refunded online in the same account.
The Candidates who could not be allotted any seat (i.e. those candidates who were neither allotted any seat in 1st round nor in this 2nd round)
Those candidates who could not be allotted any seat neither in this 2nd round nor in the 1st round on the basis of the choices filled by them, will have to choose one of the following options:
A. FLOAT Option: If a candidate wants to be considered for seat allotment in the subsequent round of counseling (It is 4 th Round for General/OBC/ST and 3rd Round for SC Candidates) on the basis of his/her already filled choices, should opt for the FLOAT option.
B. WITHDRAW Option: If candidate does not want to be considered for allotment in any subsequent rounds of counseling, should opt for the WITHDRAW option. The candidates, who opt this WITHDRAW option, will be treated to have withdrawn from ALL the remaining rounds of counseling. The Full Registration Fee (without any deduction) submitted by such candidates shall be refunded online in the same account.
Please Note: If such candidate does not choose any of the above option during the specified period, he/she will be automatically treated to have opted for ”FLOAT” and shall be automatically considered for subsequent round (It is 4 th Round for General/OBC/ST and 3rd Round for SC Candidates) of counseling.
