German auto major Volkswagen on Thursday launched its mid-sized sedan ‘Virtus’ in India with prices starting at Rs 11.21 lakh (ex-showroom). The company’s new offering would compete with the likes of Honda City, Maruti Ciaz, Hyundai Verna and the recently-launched Skoda Slavia in the mid-sized sedan segment.
Volkswagen has launched the much awaited Virtus sedan in India by replacing the ageing Vento car, The Virtus prices starting at Rs 11.22 lakh (ex-showroom) and going up to Rs 17.92 lakh (ex-showroom). The car comes with four trim options- Comfortline, Highline and Topline available with the 1.0-litre TSI and the GT Plus available with the 1.5-litre TSI.
Volkswagen started production of the Virtus over a month ago at its Chakan factory in Pune, It has all the latest power packed features that includes standard LED lighting, standard eight speakers, single-pane sunroof, climate control, ventilated seats, auto headlamps and wipers, wireless charging, push-button start, 60:40 split seats(GT models) and a cooled glove box.
