The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the commencement of its free psychological counseling services in light of the recent CBSE results announcement. Starting from 14th May, 2024, these services will operate 24/7 for a week. For 26 years, CBSE has been a reliable resource for students and parents, helping them navigate the common psychological challenges associated with exams and results.
Two Phases of Counseling Services
CBSE’s counseling services are divided into two phases:
- First Phase: The initial phase of counseling was conducted before, during, and after the exams. It aimed to provide timely support and guidance to students as they prepared for their examinations.
- Second Phase (Current): Now, during the second phase, CBSE has assembled a comprehensive team of 65 professionals. This team includes principals, trained counselors, special educators from CBSE-affiliated government and private schools, and psychologists. They are available to provide tele-counseling services round the clock for one week.
Toll-Free Helpline for Nationwide Access
Individuals across India can dial the toll-free number 1800-11-8004 to access CBSE’s tele-counseling helpline. This centralized service offers support, information, and useful tips to address result-related anxiety or stress. Additionally, stakeholders can find further assistance and resources on the CBSE website under the “Counselling” section.
CBSE’s commitment to mental well-being underscores the importance of providing holistic support to students and their families during critical times. Whether it’s coping with exam stress or dealing with the aftermath of results, CBSE’s tele-counseling services aim to make a positive impact.
