Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released a notification to reconduct Class 12th Economics and Class 10th Maths Exam after reports of the question paper being leaked on WhatsApp and Social Media. 2.8 million students have to take the exam again, HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar said “Investigations are on. Strict action will be taken for those who are involved,” during a Press Meet.
CBSE said in the statement that “Board has taken cognizance of certain happenings in the conduct of certain examinations as are being reported. With the view to uphold the sanctity of the Board Examination and in the interest of the fairness to the students, the Board has decided to reconduct the examinations in the following subjects. Dates for fresh examinations in the following subjects. Dates for fresh examinations and the other details shall be hosted on the CBSE website within a week.”
Govt already ordered a probe in this matter and investigation is going on, CBSE hasn’t clarified if the exam Economics and maths exam will be re-conducted only for Delhi region or All India. Students and parents are already disappointed after this breaking news.
In addition to this, PM Modi has also talked to Prakash Javadekar and expressed unhappiness at the CBSE paper leak issue and asked to take strict action. According to the sources accounts, papers was also leaked and Delhi govt has ordered a probe in this matter.
