Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the highly-anticipated Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 in Lucknow. The summit, which is the flagship investment event of the Uttar Pradesh government, brought together leaders from various industries, policymakers, and academics from around the world to explore business opportunities and build partnerships.
Alongside the summit, the Prime Minister also launched Invest UP 2.0 and inaugurated the Global Trade Show, which showcased exhibitions from various industries. During the event, several prominent industry leaders, including Shri Kumar Mangalam Birla, Shri Mukesh Ambani, Shri Natarajan Chandrasekaran, and Daniel Bircher, spoke about the tremendous growth and potential for investment in Uttar Pradesh.
In his speech, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the cultural richness and heritage of Uttar Pradesh and talked about the state’s journey from being known for poor governance and law and order to becoming a hub of good governance, stability, and growth. He praised the efforts of the state government in creating a business-friendly environment and talked about the initiatives being taken to improve infrastructure and connectivity, such as the development of five international airports and a freight corridor connecting the state with the sea coast in Maharashtra.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the optimistic outlook on the Indian economy, which has shown remarkable resilience and rapid recovery in the face of the pandemic and war. He noted the changing mindset and aspirations of the Indian society, with citizens eager to embrace development and work towards a “Viksit Bharat.”
