The all New upgraded ASUS Zenfone Max 2016 comes with a 5.5 inch HD (1280×720 px) IPS display up to 178 Degree Viewing Angle. It comes with IPS display with full-screen lamination, ASUS TruVivid technology ,450 nits brightness and Bluelight Filter for Eye Care which is very effective and works well. It has built in Speaker at the bottom back side of the phone and Volume and power key at the side panel. The Back Panel is removable to put the Dual SIM cards and expandable memory cards, but the 5000mah battery is non-removable. The Battery is the one which makes the phone bit heavy with 202 gm.

ZenFone Max is available in three colors and textures – Black, Orange and Blue with the look and feel of embossed leather. The Design of the Zenfone Max 2016 is beautifully crafted with fake leather finish at the back.

New ASUS Zenfone Max 2016 Performance Review:

Coming to the performance after reviewing the Zenfone Max 2016, we found that the performance of this phone is average and works well. In this budget with great battery life, this what we expected and from zenfone with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, ARM Cortex A53 at up to 1.5 GHz per core with 32-bit and 64-bit capable Adreno 405 GPU the Performance of Zenfone Max will give you smooth, seamless experience with decent performance. Playing some big game on this smartphone is not suggested because sometimes the app get crashed.

The Zenfone Max did not get heat up even after a heavy usage, and it works flawlessly in multitasking mode. It gives a great performance with 2 GB RAM & 16 GB Internal Memory. It also supports expandable memory card up to 64 GB microSD card.

New ASUS Zenfone Max 2016 Camera Review:

Talking about the Camera, which is what every user is keen to know about, the rear camera is equipped with 13 megapixel and front camera with 5 megapixel. The Camera works well with the laser technology, and dual color LED Flash. The camera works well in low light if you can do some manual settings. We tried taking some photos in daylight and found good enough, and the laser works well as you can see the example images below but at low light the camera sucks and is not upto the mark. We loved the zooming power of the camera, the zoom of the camera is good and clearly shows the object and doesn’t get blurred.

The ultra-fast laser auto-focus feature greatly reduces blurring and enhances image stabilization, and the industry-leading Low Light mode employs pixel-merging technology to capture up to 400% brighter photos at night or in low-light scenes (this what asus promise) but this is not the reality it does improve but the quality is very bad.

New ASUS Zenfone Max 2016 UI (User Interface) Review:

The User Interface of Zenfone Max 2016 is improved because of the latest Android M 6.0 marshmallow update with Zen UI which gives premium enrich great experience. Well, there is no such big difference in Zen UI. You can’t uninstall the apps which comes with the smartphone itself. The ASUS ZenUI 2.0 has over 1000+ software enhancements like Themes Store Easy / Kids /SnapView modes, ZenMotion, Tap tap to wake up and sleep and 24/7 ZenUI apps Instant update from Google Play Store.

The Zen UI also helps in optimizing the Battery life of zenfone max 2016 by using Power Saving Mode, Super Saving Mode, Normal Mode and Performance to make long lasting battery life according to your needs.

New ASUS Zenfone Max 2016 Battery Review:

This is one of the special and most important features of this Smartphone. The zenfone Max has a Powerful long lasting Li-Polymer 5000mah battery which will run your smartphone for 3 days this what ASUS says but in reality if you use with SIM cards, internet and all it can last long the entire day completely infact we can say it can give you back up for 2 days if you use it moderately. ASUS Zenfone Max comes with a heavy 5000mah non-removable battery. The user will not be able to remove the battery by themselves. The Battery is pretty good and it will be able to attract users towards it but the only thing which disappoints is that it takes too much time to get fully charged in which it can take upto 5 hours or more.

The Battery backup of zenfone Max is just awesome, and that is what it makes the phone best from any other smartphone in the range of Rs 9999/- The ASUS Zenfone Max can even work as a Power Bank for your another smartphone and yes it works. You will also get an OTG cable inside the box to connect as a power bank.

New ASUS Zenfone Max 2016 Verdict:

After completely reviewing the ASUS Zenfone Max Smartphone and using after 15 days we found that this smartphone is definitely a pick if you really care about the battery backup because the 5000mah Battery, Decent performance and a good camera makes it apart from any other smartphone at this range.

if you are looking for a good battery backup in Rs 9999 range then this smartphone is for you but getting 1GB Extra for paying more 3000 is something we found stupidity. The Battery life and Performance is upgraded and better than the previous version of Zenfone Max.
