NEET and JEE Main 2020: Supreme Court dismissed pleas to Postpone the exams

NEET and JEE main 2020 exams will be conducted in September 2020 as per the schedule, as Supreme Court dismissed the pleas to postpone the exams this year. The rescheduled JEE Main exams are to be held from 1st – 6th September 2020 while the NEET-UG exams for medical is scheduled from September 13 which was deferred already due to covid-19 pandemic.

Supreme Court dismisses the petition seeking postponement of NEET and JEE main exams saying postponement will put students career in peril. Says it has taken note of assurance by authorities that the exams will be held with adequate precautions. The three bench judge said “Life cannot be stopped. We have to move ahead with all safeguards… Can we just stop the exams? We should move on,” said Justice Arun Mishra.

NEET and JEE Main Exam will be Postponed ?

The Supreme Court has already dismissed the plea and Hence there is no scope of postponing or cancellation of the exam this year. It can be done if the Government of India takes any action from their end.

Many students are not happy with the court decision and they are kept on trending and tweeting about NEET and JEE main exam to be postponed which has a very less chance as only weeks are left for the exams. many students have so many issues with exam centre, COVID-19 pandemic, lockdown restrictions and floods in the state, the candidates have raised their concern on Social Media about the exam.
